And I felt free!

Right now I'm on a short break for the Thanksgiving holiday so I figured I'd do a quick photo update. Lots of stuff has been going on. Since the previous update I've gone shopping, made 3 necklaces, went to see Harry Potter at Midnight (IT WAS AMAZING!), got more prints printed/worked on my wall, worked on my club scrapbook, and got a NEW FISH EYE LENS!

New lens!

I ordered this Leopard Hoodie from Journeys.com. It's hood has a leopard face and ears, and I think it's adorable. It's also my favorite color.

I have about a billion picture files to edit for various purposes, and every day I get more and more behind, so I decided to do an update of some of the best files I've edited. I have a billion pictures with my fish eye, and from Harry Potter, but I don't want to bore anyone. I haven't done any babbling as of late, but I think some of that is coming up soon....because who doesn't like complaints? In the mean time, I'm still swamped with 'shopping, sorting, and crapbooking...errr....scrapbooking.....

And I just thought this was funny. My mom made a cake because she was so happy with my SAT scores! Hahaha, I guess all that hard work paid off in the end, I got cake!

Next time I'll upload the pictures of the necklaces I've made, because some have turned out pretty cool :) I also downloaded an EP, Emotion, by Breathe Electric--accidentally, I meant to download something else, but I'm actually really happy that I made that mistake! I recommend checking it out. I can't get the song "Emotion" out of my head! It's so catchy!

Hanukkah is in 7 days! Who's pumped?! (ME!)

All photos are my original work,  but for the nebula ones I got the overlays off from google images.

A Day at the Ritz

Happy 11/11,

I wished for.....

Well, never mind that!

I dedicate this photo in honor of Veteran's Day

Today is Veteran's Day, so in honor of the men and women who served our country, I had another day off from school! Second week in a row. And next week I have an all day field trip on Monday, and I might be taking off Friday due to HARRY POTTER AT MID-NIGHT! Anyways, since I had the day off, I decided to edit the stacks of photos. I'm going to do a scheduled post later in the week of attempts at my 365 project. I'm totally lost with the number day I'm on, so I'll just post the photographs that I have. I've also been editing photos for my club since I'm the photographer.

Anyways, this is just a quick photo post about my grandma's birthday which we celebrated on the 42nd floor of the Ritz-Carlton. I'm not posting the photos of my grandparents (or any people) to respect their privacy--so none of the portraits I took.

The Venue.

The view! It was crazy. I was going crazy wishing for a telephoto lens!

Am I the only one disgusted by the prospect of Lobster Macaroni and Cheese? I've never eaten Lobster before, is that a good combo? Feedback haha?

Random Flower Pot on the Street

My cousin had this bug bracelet, with an actual dead bug in it. Yeachhh. Let's put that in the Lobster Mac and Cheese!

The sunset at the end of the day was AMAZING.

My thoughts on the Ritz? Since my family follows the restrictions of Kashrut, I wasn't able to eat the food there, instead my Aunt ordered in dinners from Super Sauls, so I can't judge the food. The actual hotel was amazing. We had a room rented in the 42 Diner, which is a restaurant on the 42nd floor!! All around were windows, so we had a full view of White Planes, it was mind blowing (although I was so scared the building would crumble...42 stories is pretty tall! If you have a chance to attend an even there, go! Nice lighting, atmosphere, the food smelled good, and the waiter wear red Converse high tops!

I'm planning to post some 365-esque inspired photos from my latest 'haul' at some point later in the week, stay tuned!

A Life Less Ordinary

I know I've sort of abandoned this blog as well as my 365 challenge (again), and I feel really badly about it! Today is a federal holiday, so I don't have school. It's Election day, but I can't even vote yet, so I'm just enjoying the extra sleep! The good news is that I should hopefully be all finished with my college apps by this week end! I have three payments to make, two supplements to put the final touches on, and three common apps to send. I also received my scores back for the SAT and I did really well, so now I don't have to take it again! I'm so thrilled!! I had the honor of passing down my 12 SAT books to my little sister. It's nice to get those off my back and off my shelf! Once I finish the applications, I'll edit the copious amount of pictures I took LAST Sunday. I also have a bunch of "catch-up" pictures to post, which I'll do now.

How was everyone's Halloween? My family doesn't celebrate it, but we do hand out candy to the little kids that ring our doorbell---which was like, three times. My parents always buy like, three bags of candy, but we hardly get any people. Now there's a bag of KitKat's calling my name...which would normally be okay, but over the summer I developed an allergy to chocolate, so the three bags of candy have to go before I get too tempted! What did you guys dress up as?

I do want to talk about music for a little bit. As I mentioned previously, I recently downloaded some new CD's. I've heard about the band Vampire Weekend for a while, but I hadn't checked it out until recently. Honestly, I dig it. I would describe it as reggae with a twist of musical rifts, and with vocals that remind me of Kings of Leon. I highly recommend listening to them, and if you agree, downloading their CD.
Also, Motion City Soundtrack came out with a one-take music video, made by Justin Pierre, for a Life Less Ordinary, and it EPICLY WINS. I absolutely love it. Feel free to check it out!

Photo Update (I'm not uploading all of the pictures, or labeling them with dates, because all my files are out of order and I don't want this page to take ages to load, if you're interested in seeing the order and ALL of the photos, check out my flickr account).

*Sigh* October, I will miss you!

I WILL I WILL I WILL get back on track with this *(&(*(*)( challenge haha. It's just I always come home from school, and the only thing interesting enough for me to photograph is my cat....but that's just because I'm being lazy. T.T

When I went shopping I got this new Panda Bag for my gym clothes at F21. It only cost $1.50! During the same trip I went to Macy's, and fell in love with black and white striped hobo gloves, that were $30.00. They were way to expensive, so I didn't buy them. When I went to H&M I found black and white striped gloves that came with a pair of black gloves for five bucks....yes two pairs of gloves for 5! So I bought two packs, and modified one pair of the black and white ones, and one pair of the black ones. Heheheh, I felt so frugal and resourceful.
