Lazy Sunday + Photo Update

Day 6

Day 7

I've had such a dull weekend. I have SAT 2's next week that I just started studying for, but I can't really study for them because I have this huge ass chemistry paper and presentation to finish. Ughh!!

Well, I did make my cat a boat, since we call him Captain Nemo, although he didn't spend too much time in it.

The "boat"

Kitty Cat Pirate!

So now I'm just editing pictures and working on my paper.
 I'm so very interesting, aren't I?
Don't answer that question....

More random pictures from the past two days :]

Come here, Nemo!

Love him! :]

Hi Sponge Bob...

Just a different way to edit my eye...

Little Nemo got a new toy,
 he's totally jazzed about it!

I think I might be seeing Shrek 3 or 4 later (I'm not sure which, I lost count). So I might not finish this paper till tomorrow....hmmmm

Enjoy!

Nemo's a Cat

Day 5.

I love my little Nemo! Today is his first birthday, he's officially a cat! My little baby is growing up :) <3

c-c-c-combo breaker!

I really don't have much to say today.
I had no school and I'm feeling sort of down and out.

My awesome cousins did stop by to drop off a care package and flowers in honor of Emmett. It was the biggest care package I've ever received. Unfortunately I wasn't expecting them, so I kind of was in my pajamas...but oh well.

Cookies, donuts, popcorn, candies, waffers, onion rings, soda, and a toy for Nemo!

"Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?" For the Sake of this Picture :]

I'm actually pretty meh about that song. I really like that one lyric, and Hayley's chorus but I think the whole (c)rap aspect of the song ruined it. I think it should be redone by Owl City....

Anyways, I think that it fit the pictures well. I was trying to see if I could pick up stars on my camera, and although there were stars out, it was really cloudy and hard to pick up. I think unless it's an extremely clear clear night out, or if I had a telephoto lens, I won't really be successful with that. So as mentioned in the title, can you pretend that the airplane is a [shooting] star? :]

Later that night there was an electric storm. It's always been a goal of mine to capture lighting in a picture, but I think I'll need a lot more practice before that happens.

After I took this picture ^^ I got a little creative....

Which led me to my official "Day Four Photo"

I set up a Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sarahnatanaphotography/
But they have a poopy bandwith limit, so I'll post most of my pictures on this Blog, and 365 pictures on my Flickr Account....

Last night my friends drove over to my house. We went for a relaxing walk in the park near my house. I'm still really depressed, though. But I did promise a photo update, and after I upload to Flickr I'll officially be starting my 365 challenge, so I'm excited for that.

Also, I need help with my layout...I want to make it wider to post bigger pictures (now that their quality will be up to par). I want to keep my background, but I don't know how to make the posting page wider without losing my sidebar "stuff." If you know how to help, please leave me a comment VV

So here goes:

RIP EMMETT

Today was horrible. My family and I went over to the vet this morning to say our goodbyes. Even though Em was never a lap cat, he sat in my lap for more than 5 minutes while we snuggled and said goodbyes. I just want to say that he was purring until the last moment of his life.

I went to school after that...I couldn't stop crying. It was awful.

And just now we gave Emmett a nice burial.

Devastated

Recently my family noticed that my kitten, Emmett, was having some health issues. He wasn't playing, he  and eventually he stopped even eating. We thought he was depressed, or something, but once he stopped eating we scheduled a vet appointment. My dad took him to the vet today and we found out he has a fatal  virus, that he's been suffering from for over a month. We have to put him to sleep tomorrow. Words cannot express how completely devastated I am. We've only had them since late December, and they're not even a year old. Life is just so unfair sometimes.

I did take some photos before I found out the bad news, but I'm just not up to posting them. They'll be up within the next week though.

I took this picture today before his vet appointment. This is the last picture I'll ever take of him

I love you Emmett Bo Bemmet
Emmett Schmemmet

The first day they were brought home <3

I'll miss you so much when you leave for kitty Heaven <3

All I Want to Do, is close my eyes

And cross my heart, and hope to die...

Last night was Prom. I didn't go, but I did sleep over at my friends house for an "after party." So therefore I've decided:
Playing Apples to Apples on a Trampoline at 9:50 AM > PROM .

Anyways, I'm just frustrated that even though I just finished two AP tests and SATs my teachers decided to high five me with 7 projects, no exaggeration, so I'm feeling overwhelmed and sort of pissed off. I just feel loooooopy. Anyways, since I'm feeling like crap, I wanted to shift gears and do a post on music!

This is an introductory post, just to show some of my tastes at the moment:

TOP 10 SONGS SARAH WANTS YOU TO LISTEN TO RIGHT NOW BECAUSE SHE CAN'T GET THEM OUT OF HER HEAD:

1. Into the Airwaves- Jack's Mannequin
I don't know why, but I can't get enough of this song. It reminds of time just melting away, and traveling back to a time and place that you're happy C:

2. Even if it Kills Me- Motion City Soundtrack
Starts off slow, with a melancholy undertone, but I love the message of it. Perseverance ftw

3. On Letting Go- Circa Survive
I love Circa Survive's sound, because it's so unique. This song stands out in my mind. It talks about just wanting to belong, and then....letting go.

4. The War- Angels and Airwaves
I love AvA as well. They have sort of a techno-y rock sound. I kept singing this song while I was studying for AP...."Why won't you tell me, that it's almost over..."

5. Always Running Out of Time-Motion City Soundtrack
Love MCS. This song is on the "Almost Alice" CD, which is music by a lot of different bands inspired by the movie. I like this song because it's very slow and it's almost like a mantra to me, because I'm Always Running Out of Time

6. Crooked Teeth--Death Cab for Cutie
I love DCC a lot, and this song is almost always stuck in my head. I love the tempo because a lot of DCC songs are slow and airy, but this one's a nice change. I also love the chorus.

7. A Whisper & A Clamour--Anberlin
I had my Anberlin playlist on for an hour last night. This song is very powerful. I guess it's because they're a "Christian Rock" band. I love them, even though I'm Jewish xD

8. United States of Eurasia--Muse
I love how this song starts out almost classically and in the middle gets extremely powerful. I love the "Egyptianish" underpinnings.

9. Audience of One--Rise Against
This song pretty much sums up life. My life. Maybe we've outgrown all the things that we once loved.

10. Call That a Comeback--You Me at Six
If you haven't listened to this band yet, do it....NAO!!!!

Okay, so I also found a new K Drama the other day called "Coffee Prince" on Hulu. I've only watched one episode so far, but I love it....more than Boys Over Flowers. I even bookmarked it haha. If you're interested in watching, here's the link:

AP SURVIVAL! And a conversation with Ryan Higa (kind of)!

BLOGGERS! I'M BACK!

AND I SURVIVED THE SAT AND MY AP EXAM!

Now, there's this rule that I can't talk about the MC questions on the AP, because apparently they're recycled, and I don't want to get my score erased or whatever. I just really really hope I got a 5. The scoring is curved, so it depends on how horrible or well other students did around the country. But either way, I'm free! Now the only thing we're gonna be doing in AP class are "fun" mini-projects. 5 for that matter. But hey, no 30 page readings, that's good for me!

I really really wanted to do a loooong blog walk tomorrow, but as you know (or may not know, depending on where you are), tomorrow is Mother's Day, so I'm headed off to Queens, NYC, to celebrate with the Grandparents.

Do you celebrate Mother's Day outside of the US? I'm curious. Let me know!

So, in other news, my camera is insight!!! I finally decided on a model, Canon Rebel XSi, because it's a very good quality camera, and more importantly, it fits my budget! So, I'm thinking Thursday night, because I have an AP English exam on Wednesday.

As for the future of this blog, I want to incorporate music/music reviews, photography, and maybe some more meaningful posts. I'm really not quite sure, but since I love music, and since it's so important to me, I want to reflect on that in my Blog :P

------------------------------------SOMETHING AWESOME UPDATE---------------------------------------------

So, you may know of my stalker-crush on Kevin Wu (KevJumba), but hey, I love Ryan Higa too. And I kinda sorta talked to him on his U-stream chat(when he wasn't live). I took a screenshot because I'm a loser. (For the record, this was on Monday).

He says: How's AP studying?
That was aimed at me...because I had mentioned that I was supposed to be studying AP at an earlier point. My life is officially awesome now. I'm sorry that it's impossible to see. For some reason my blog isn't thick enough to have X-Large pictures....

If anyone knows how to fix this please please tell me!

(Oh and I'm not pregnant, the parenting styles thing was for psych)

And heres another part of the chat. Before, he said that he was reading our conversation, and that we were pretty interesting.

Oh yes, I made Ryan Higa type LOL.

My life is complete!

Anyways, I'm also working on a new banner: Let me know what you think! I was inspired by a previous banner from Michelle's Blog at Glisters and Blisters. I like this new banner better because ALL the photos in it are my work, even the Motion City Soundtrack one, I made with a tablet and photoshop!
