Shopping Spree? And Useless Sarah Babble

Hi!  So erm, I'm waiting for it to be 5:45 so I can get ready for dance (Although I do sort of suck at it...still). So I went on a 'shopping spree' with my little sister yesterday, sweeping up the remnants of Black Friday. I have it in quotes because I'm rather cheap with my money, and only ended up paying for 3 or so articles of clothes (my mother paid for a few shirts that I liked). We hit up H&M (which I am just beginning to re-fall in love with) and I picked up this black tutu skirt thing--it is so short I can't even think of it as a skirt--so um leggings and skinny jeans are the way I will go!
And, Heritage 1981! I love love love that store because everything is so cheap, and the clearance wrack is an amazing pile of awesome! I found a shirt for FOUR fawking dollars--I'm wearing it right now and I can already tell it's going to be one of my all-time favorites. While I was walking in the hallway this girl I didn't know complimented me on it, so yeah, it was pretty cool. I also bought a Unicornz tank top that matches the shirt oh so well!

I'm in a bit of discrepency, I was so sure they were cupcakes, and so did several of my friends, but my best friend insisted they were muffins! Sorry you can't see the shirt well, didn't feel like taking it off. ^_^

And the unicorns tank...it really matches the muffins/cupcake tee shirt.

My mother was complaining that  I have too many graphic t-shirt, and if you know me at all you'd know she is totally on the money, so I picked this one out to pacify her.  I got a shirt and I didn't have to pay, no complaints here :)
I like colorful things, and I am so looking forward to wearing this, although it is a tad bit hippy dippy for my tastes. Honestly if I could I would buy some clothes from Hot Topic, but my sister was too scared to even enter that store (puh), -_-

So then after my shopping trip I had all of the homework that I neglected to do over break (yay). I didn't get a good start until nearly 6 or 7 pm, finished up around 2:30 (ridiculous DBQ assignment, grr). I couldn't even fall asleep after that so I went to school on no sleep, which is really not a good thing. Normally I'm really quiet, but when I don't get enough sleep the filter over my mouth just gets turned OFF completely, and I say the stupidest most random things--I blurt out whatever comes in my mind without thinking.

For Example: Tony! Your shirt makes you look strong

*Tony is a very skinny slight kid, who is not strong or muscular at all, no offense Tony, and honestly, who would ever say that?
**And a whole bunch of other things that didn't even make sense, just incoherent Sarah babble like I'm doing right now! Must get ready for dance! Buh bye!

I think I've also been wheedled into taking my little sister shopping tomorrow, so more reason to get my homework done tonight!

Thanksgiving

So as you all know, in America, we celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday. Most families celebrate the holiday by cooking a ton of food, eating it, and passing out while they watch football.  My family is a little different. Every four or five years we seem to decide to switch up our customs, so for the past two years we've been waking up at 10:30 in the morning, driving down to NYC, and meeting our mothers side of the family for dinner at an Italian Restaurant. No offense to Italians or anything, but I can't stand how all of the food tastes like salt, lemons, and vinegar.  I, being patriotic, ordered the turkey platter, and all I can say was meh.  My grandma used to make better turkey than that. Going on Facebook, I later read status's on how they all larded themselves with second and third portions. I never finished my first. I couldn't.

But then I realized that Thanksgiving is NOT about larding yourself, or feeling bad that you did NOT lard yourself. So instead of continuing to complain I am going to make a list of all the things that I am thankful for.

1. My friends- AKA the reason that I haven't dropped out of school. They make my life so much better and easier. What would I do if I had to keep all of my secrets up inside of me? They always help me. They love me, and I love them. I am extremely grateful they are part of my life.

2. My family-- I have a large immediate family, but not a large extended one. I have two sisters, a brother, and a brother in law. Most of my relatives were killed during the Holocaust and I'm glad I can live knowing that all of my siblings are still alive. Which brings me to my third.

3. Living in America-- Having lost relatives in the Holocaust, I never look down on the free country that I live in. I say the Pledge of Allegience every day at school, sometimes being the only one, with the teacher just mouthing the words.  Show that you're thankful to live in a free country, with rights to speech and religion, won't you?

4. My parents--they love me, they protect me, and they always have my back-whether its for a rogue teacher, or an insane crazy assistant principal giving me an undeserving extended detention. I am so glad they are always there for me.

....And now that I've covered all of the basics the list gets more fun!
5. Being Jewish--so that I can go to and work at my kick-ass Jew Camp! What would I do without it?

6. My brain-- I like being in honors and AP classes
7. My bed where I get to sleep comfortably
8.  All the food in my house that I cannot stop eating!

9. All the clothes and cool stuff that I see and buy
10. Harry Potter
11. Flowers that smell good.

12. Clouds---the sky would be so boring without clouds!

13. MLIA
14. Boys boys boys!!
15. Taylor Lautner....Shirtless!
16. Leaves changing in Fall....

Haha I think I'll leave it at that. I will update this post whenever I think of more...it'll be like a running list.

Ugly Dolls

I am in love with Ugly Dolls! The other day some loser at our school pulled the fire alarm during our advisory. While some of my friends and I were waiting in the cold for 15 minutes, the topic lead to Ugly Dolls--'They're so ugly they're kind of cute.' I didn't know what they were talking about so when I went home I googled it. A-Door-A-Bull!! Maybe I'm just really weird but I think they're awesome and I totally want one now!

<<-----My favorite is the Secret Mission Ice-bat!

But I also like Poe, the Ugly Dragon! ^^

(I'm not sure the difference between the bat and the dragon, they pretty much look the same to me)

SLR Camera

Today I was lucky enough to take home one of my school's digital SLR Cameras over Thanksgiving Break! When I got home I went outside for nearly an hour and a half, taking pictures. The whole aperture and shutter-speed settings are still confusing, but hopefully by the end of this weekend I'll be a pro! The four images are original ones by me. I took them just now and edited them myself. I hope you enjoy!

Fish Eye Camera

So two day my Photo Teacher was telling our class how he wanted a wide-lens for his camera for Christmas. Wide-lens cameras are really cool, you can fit so much in a picture they look amazing. Similar to that is a fish lens camera, which I researched yesterday. My camera is a canon point and shoot, so you really can't add on lenses (besides the fact that they're like 600 dollars!) So I found this  Lomo Fish Eye camera online for like 30 dollars that runs on 35 mm film. It's really cool and I'm thinking about purchasing one.

Some examples?
