I'm seeing Circa Survive and Anberlin in concert in a few days (at the end of midterms week) and I'm soooo excited!!!!!!! Wahhhh I can't even express it :D. I only have one midterm (Calc), two days off, and then an amazing concert! Because I'm so pumped, I really can't concentrate on studying, instead I made fan art of CS's album, On Letting Go (above). Below is the original:
Just the lines^
My picture before I added the background. I did it all by freehand (look ma! No cheating!) and I'm actually happily surprised with how it came out :) It's taped to my wonder-wall now.
Anyways, after I scanned that in I found these old files in my scanner-output folder, back from my Deviant-art days. Art really has never been my strongest point, but it was something I liked to do a lot, so I guess this is sort of a peek into my past (before my blogger days, before you knew me!)
"Bullied"
^7th grade
Hahahaha emo chibis for the win xD
A personal favorite of mine. There are others like this floating around my house, but this one is my favorite (and I'm really too lazy to scan old art now)
Anyways, aside from that blast from the past, the rest of my day was pretty cool. I had my econ final 1st, and I ended up getting the highest grade in my class on it (102) and then I had a physics test, and for the first time I actually feel confident about it! And the rest of the day was pretty much BS seeing as it was a one day school week, and the rest of the week is for testing. I also got another free bracelet in the mail today from Listia. So yeah, things are looking on the up :)

ReplyDeletei love the chibi ^^ and nice artwork on the CD cover :3
ReplyDeleteThat is annoying to hear about your parents not letting you buy things! but don't worry, one day you will be able to use your own card XD.
ReplyDeletep.s. very nice drawings ^^!! I wish I could draw so well!
great work.
ReplyDeletelooks like prismacolor pencil or pastel on strathmore 300 series bristol?
try both on canson tinted paper or dark green regular surface matte board. the contrast makes colors pop.
