DIY Bottle Cap Necklace!

So what did I do on Valentines Day?

Nothing of interest. I went to Michael's Art Store to buy some materials for my Israeli Dance Crew to make costumes, and some supplies for my newest DIY (My skirt is currently on hold for the summer, I don't have a sewing machine so it's a huge job.) Anyways this post is about a Bottle Cap Necklace that I made last night.

It was a ton of work. I've been saving these Stewart's Bottle Caps (why did I just capitalize that?) since the summer, waiting to do something cool with them. I'm sad to say what actually inspired me was a cheesy Disney Movie, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, where LiLo has a necklace similar to this:

But I digress. So the first thing I had to do was poke a hole in each of the five bottle caps--not easily done, considering the only tools I had were a non-power screw-driver and a staple-remover...but I got it done. Then there was a lot of wire cutting, and twisted, but I won't bore you with each tiny detail.

Anyways, the finished product?

Yeupp. I don't have a picture of myself wearing it because I need to find a special chain where there is a place to hook in the top three bottle caps so they don't all slouch to the middle!

Some artistic shots? Haha:

And this is totally random, but my sister bought this online from the Forever 21 Store and I am INSANELY jealous!

I'm sorry it's so blurry, but my sister is kinda of impatient

It's awesome though! Happy Year of the Tiger!!

EDIT: ♥ 熊貓GIRL ♥ (PANDA GIRL) HAS GIVEN ME THIS LOVELY AWARD

THANK YOUUUU ^_^

And so I nominate.....

I don't really know how many Blog's I was supposed to nominate, but what the heck!

I also made my own FormSpring account, which is silly considering all the work I have. But if you're bored and you want to anonymously harass me, I guess you could go ahead? Just be nice! ^_^

DIY Project-o && Kitty Cats :3 Meoww

So as I've been on break I've been working on that list I posted last time. I've been musicing, tetrising, chem-homeworking, I memorized the presidents (yet not the elements), APUSHing, and reading.

I got inspired by Michelle (of Glisters_and_Blisters) interview of Lexy who runs Quirky Explosions to start my own DIY project. I'm currently working on a skirt, and seeing that I do not own my own sewing machine, it should be done mid-march so I'll keep you posted. I also had fun skyping the other night with a friend of mine :) It was fun.

BUT, the biggest news I have to share is today, my sister and I adopted two adorable 7 month old kittens. They are both orange, with white tufts on the tail and they are brothers!  When we first opened up the pet carrier at home we (stupidly) did it in the kitchen, so they could see their litterbox. However, as soon as we opened the cage the one brother zooooomed into the cabinet with all the pots and pans, and his brother would nawt come out of the carrier!

(sorry for the crappy shot quality--I was so excited I couldn't focus on taking an actual good picture)

Eventually the second kitty joined its brother in the cabinet T.T It took us literally like an hour an a half of us attempting to coax it out with treats and food and toys before I finally got impatient and picked them up (gently of course) and carried them to the beds we had.

Now they are sleeping peacefully :3 and when we go out we're gonna play mozart for them and shtuff. ^^ They are so soft and lovely I love them already. Since we have two my sister and I each get to name one. I named the shyer one Nemo, and my sister named the other one Emmett.

And Nemo says Meow ^^
