Thank You Matisyahu

So er, my last post was very -_- depressingish.

I had a very very stressful week, and this one ain't looking too much better. Neither is the next few months

On Tuesday apparently I'm giving a mini-speech/ presentation to my school's Board of Ed. I feel like throwing up just thinking about that. My speech is still yet to be written.

I'm also starting an SAT class on Thursday.
So my free time will be minimal

I've basically been doing homework all day.
Yes, my life is very interesting...

So my birthday is in...18 days.

And then I'll be missing three days of school
And then I'll be on April break
And then I'll make some college visits

And then I will dig myself in a hole and study for my AP exams and SAT for the rest of the month.

Anyways the purpose of this post is to share this really really inspirational song by Matisyahu. It's made me feel so much better. And he's Jewish just like me! Please give it a listen <3

Sometimes I lay
under the moon
and thank God I'm breathing
then I pray
don't take me soon
cause I am here for a reason
sometimes in my tears I drown
but I never let it get me down
so when negativity surrounds
I know some day it'll all turn around

because
all my life I've been waiting for
I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play
one day

it's not about
win or lose
we all lose
when they feed on the souls of the innocent
blood drenched pavement
keep on moving though the waters stay raging
in this maze you can lose your way (your way)
it might drive you crazy but don't let it faze you no way (no way)

sometimes in my tears I drown
but I never let it get me down
so when negativity surrounds
I know some day it'll all turn around

because
all my life I've been waiting for
I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play
one day

one day this all will change
treat people the same
stop with the violence
down with the hate
one day we'll all be free
and proud to be
under the same sun
singing songs of freedom like
one day

all my life I've been waiting for
I've been praying for
for the people to say
that we don't wanna fight no more
they'll be no more wars
and our children will play
one day

But the words you said DESTROYED my planet....

Hey so guess it's time for another update. I'm really not having the greatest week personally, so I avoided my blog as to not dump on my readers (you should actually thank me for that--just kidding!). I don't know. I'm tired, I'm always cold, it's winter, I have really bad seasonal depression, and I had check-up with my UC doctor, and of course he freaks me out by saying that "there's always a possibility of developing cancer later from it..." The thing is that pretty much everyone has a chance of getting cancer when they're "old" due to all of the radiation from cell phones, wifi, the sun etc...oh I don't know...it's just one of those things that you deal with 60 years later or whatever....chances are it won't happen even then though (hopefully). Gahhhh bad week, I'm so glad it's almost over.

Anyways, not much has been up artistically--I did share my "perspective project" in Photo today, that went well.  Photoshop has been BORING. We're doing a cubism project, which might have been cool, except I've already done that in Photo so blechh.

So I'm in a moody mood, so I shall make a list of what makes me happy--to make me happy!
1. Kittens :3
2. Waking up on a rainy morning warm in your bed, realizing it's Saturday, and going back to sleep
3. The season of Spring, where everything gets better
4. Sleeeeep
5. Getting questions right when I watch Jeopardy, it's a huge ego booster
6. All Time Low music--it's funny I feel such an upbeat rhythm while their name is 'All Time Low'
7. Acing a math test, and telling my dad
8. My wonderful friends :)
9. Ordering something online, forgetting about it, and getting a package in the mail :)
10.  The smell after it rains.

On a small side note, I am currently reading the Kite Runner, which is a great book so far, although very very sad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 14 though, because you might find it somewhat disturbing. They're also making a movie out of it, and I really want to see it.

I can't wait to finish it. And I can't wait for My Dinosaur Life; Motion City Soundtrack's new album. It's coming out the 19th I think? I've already heard 2 songs on the CD, and they're really good!!

"If we'd only stayed together, we might not've fallen apart.
But the words you said destroyed my planet....."

love it

Wait I'm sorry, this post sucked, but it's how I feel right now.  We're going to start a self-portrait project in photo on monday so I can't wait to complete it and share :]

I'm on fire and now I think I'm ready to bust a move

Firstly I'd like to say thanks to my lovely followers! And second I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas. I'm Jewish so I really don't have much to report on for the past few days. I'm on vacation now (as I've previously mentioned) so I've devised a list of things to do in case I get stuck watching TV endlessly.

List of things to do over break:
1. Reading--The Crucible (which I've been assigned) and Wuthering Heights (Which I am reading for myself)
2. Clean out my closet and desk (done)
 3. Get more music (and enjoy it!)

(via google images)

(via emo-skater-0 @ deviantART.com)
 4. Tetris--just a few games ^_^
5. Online shopping--I feel the urge to buy stuff online

(Via littleblackcherry.co.uk)

6. I want to work on my novel,
7. Do some more art for my DA page
My DA Page
8. I also have several old metallicky bottle caps that I want to make a necklace or bracelet out of at some point.
9. Math and Chem Homeworks
10. Silly old APUSH reading
11. Memorize all the elements of the periodic table using Tom Lehrer's song

12. Re-memorize US presidents for APUSH
13. SAT studying?
14. Blogging of course ^_^
15. Paint my nails (I'm so shallow, I know)

(Via weheartit)
16. Get a haircut? (I badly need one).
17. Watch some more Pokemon episodes online!

Too many students took out the SLR cameras over break so there wasn't one left for me.  Well, what can you do, so I guess I'm not gonna get a lot of photography in over break.

Also, I have not gotten my kitten yet, but my parents are attempting to schedule appointments at shelters, so hopefully I'll have one soon :)

I hope you all continue to have a happy holiday!

Apologies, kitties, and Emo musics xx

Hey guys. Sorry for that 4 day hiatus I took there! I have this huge APUSH test that I know nothing on so I'm practically spending all weekend catching up on sleep and reading my notes

...anddd finding some new music. I've downloaded some Death Cab for Cutie, The Used, Owl City, All Time Low, Bayside, You Me at Six, Motion City Soundtrack, Angels and Airwaves, Taking Back Sunday....and I still have a lot more that I want to find. It looks like it'll take me all of Xmas break to listen to this, which is certainly fine by me :)

Well tomorrow should be fun. After my hugish AP test apparently my mom is supposed to pick my sister and I up from school to look at kittens at this vet place, and pick one out (but not take it home yet) our Hanukkah present! I am so so excited!

We haven't really come up with a name because we haven't seen the cats yet, but if you have any suggestions please please leave it in the comments box :D

As of right now I am reading this totally interesting article about thermometers (not). I also have to fill out this question sheet on it.....I hate chemistry so much. Biology last year was awesome and amazing and interesting, but chem is like huge boring naptime

zzzzzzzz

 I hate it.

Well, on a happier note, shout-out to my loverly followers! And to all who read this--if you follow me I will deffo follow you back asap ;)

Haru Haru

So I was listening to this Korean song by BIG BANG called Haru Haru (Day by Day). It's a really sweet and beautiful song so I recommend that you check it out at some point. Anyways the music video is sort of sad too (I don't speak Korean but summary: it shows this guy and his girl having all these good times, and later the girl dies in a hospital). So anyways I can't stop humming it, and thinking about it.

Snow! and Taeyang!

It snowed today. All day!  I woke up around 12 today, but I just could not get out of bed until 1 pm. At that time I looked out the window and it was all fluffy and white out. I know that in two weeks I'll be sick of snow, but it was just nice to watch it.
Now the thing is, I'm not Catholic, or Christian for that matter, so I'm not so into the winter scene. (I'm Jewish for the record), and so I'm kind of miffed because all of my teachers assign all these projects and essays to do before Christmas break, so I spend all of Hannukkah working and studying. So I'm not really going to have a lot of time for updating until around Christmas, when I'll be so absolutely bored there won't be anything for me to do except bore you all with updates! :)

So yeah to fill you in:

I've recently acquired (legally or illegally, I'll let you figure that out) a bunch of Asian songs on my iPod--Chinese and Korean.  This guy called Taeyang (group is BIG BANG) is amazing! I found these music videos on YouTube and OMG MUSCLES! Haha. My favorite song is 'Wedding Dress,' and I cannot get it out of my head: [[Wedding Dress]]

Amazing, right??? He's also an amazing dancer--Asian Michael Jackson? Or is it too early for that?

Okay, he is Gorgeous!!! Where do I find an Asian boyfriend? D:
